Metro B1 - Mobility. Other proposals for new roads

Riceviamo da un cittadino e volentieri pubblichiamo un'altra proposta per migliorare la viabilità della zona una volta che i lavori per le stazioni metro B1 saranno terminiati.
Questa volta si speaks of Piazzale Ionian.

I also take this opportunity to make my proposal for the construction of a roundabout
:
in particular, at the end of work on the B1 current meter,
the idea is to proceed the redevelopment of the square
Ionian and the replacement of the crossing.


I think it would be appropriate to propose the creation of a large roundabout, which will embrace
the area currently occupied by the distributor (which may
be moved to another site, given the great number of areas of service that gravitate
in situ ) to be placed on the green through the implementation
a small park with benches, a point of
refreshment booth of the police, and maybe moving
newsstand (which now occupies most of the sidewalks) and the florist.
The area would not be so small, to understand the dimensions of the square
are similar to those of Piazza Bologna.


I tried to write the town hall and the URP
various departments of the municipality of Rome, but of course without getting a concrete answer but
just a rebound of responsibility (is the business of RomaMetropolitane,
VVI perhaps no department, no the second, and so on). The roundabout (with traffic light even though the complexity
intersection):
- would make for a more orderly traffic from Ionian avenue, Via Val
Melaina, Via dei Prati tax and Viale Tirreno,
- would make it easier to access via Karpathos, where are located the
revenue and out of the parking lot under construction at the
Metro,
- would reduce the speed of motorists / motorcyclists, especially at night
rushing as if they were on a highway,
- would organize in a better way of parking
cars on the sides of the square and other places to earn / car plug,
- would rearrange the sidewalks and the planting of some
tree
- would allow local residents to regain
finally a part of the district today highly degraded and unusable.

I enclose with this two images, the first square represents the Ionian
"now" and the second hypothesis of a roundabout with a garden in the middle of
square, with the reorganization of the movement: of course it is a draft
"craft" that could be developed and improved.

Ad esempio tutta via Ojetti (a partire da via Casal Boccone) e tutta viale Jonio potrebbero tranquillamente ospitare delle lanes, simple to implement.

Without going crazy in traffic, no stress, no pollution ....!

About the Bike ... we know that Rome is not nor will ever be as Stockholm, Copenhagen or other cities like this ... So no one here wants to do populist speeches or illusory .... do not ask to arrive from the comfort of talents to the English Steps, cycling machines without hampering ...!
But ask something much more simple, feasible and economical .... namely the cycling neighborhood , enabling the right of all those short trips (small shop, go to the gym or other sports, go home to friends, etc ...) without being forced, even in this case, to use the car!
an effort would be limited to the city government, but that would have enormous benefits for all.

Returning to the discourse of the meter, a track on the usual way Ojetti, Ionian, or even Bufalotta or other would allow many to take the metro to go by bike, in a few minutes!

Ask a bicycle lane has low costs, and frequently enough to achieve it simply set aside part of the sidewalk (in the case should be widened, and this would not be bad ..!), Mark with the classic painting Red ... do so in all cities' EUROPEAN .... anyone who has traveled a minimum it will testify ...
